Deep Blue Alpha is a real-time Ethereum whale tracking and analytics platform.
It monitors thousands of whale wallets on the Ethereum blockchain, tracking
their DEX swaps and their deposits to / withdrawals from centralized exchanges
in real time. Most tracked whale flow is exchange transfers, not swaps, and the
site labels the two separately. The platform provides live transaction feeds,
market trend analysis, whale sentiment scoring, and daily intelligence reports.

## Whale Sentiment Index (daily 0-100 score)
The Whale Sentiment Index summarizes whether tracked Ethereum whale flow leaned
to the accumulation side (above 50) or the distribution side (below 50) over the
trailing 24 hours. Accumulation side = tokens leaving exchanges or bought on a
DEX; distribution side = tokens sent to exchanges or sold on a DEX. It blends
three signals, each compared with its own recent history: the accumulation-side
share of whale flow, whether coins are leaving or arriving on exchanges, and how
much whale money is parked in stablecoins (the largest driver).
Quote-side assets (ETH, WETH, stablecoins, wrapped BTC) are excluded so each

## Whale Tracking Methodology
Wallets are discovered automatically through on-chain analysis of large-value
DEX swaps and centralized-exchange transfers on Ethereum. Each wallet is
classified (individual vs contract) and tracked continuously. DEX buys and sells
are detected from Uniswap V2/V3 swap events; exchange deposits and withdrawals
are detected from transfers to and from known exchange addresses. These are
reported as separate flow types — an exchange withdrawal is not a purchase.
USD values come from real-time pricing via DexScreener.

### Whale Picks Scoring System
Tokens are ranked daily by a conviction score combining:
1. Number of unique whale wallets on the accumulation side of the token
2. Net accumulation-side flow (accumulation USD minus distribution USD)
3. Accumulation/distribution ratio across whale moves
Picks are graded after 7 days on 7-day CLOSING change from entry. Three display buckets: CONFIRMED (any uptrend > +2%), FLAT (-2% to +2%), REVERSED (< -2%). Confirmed Rate = confirmed / (confirmed + reversed) — flat picks are excluded from the denominator. Internal data also distinguishes a "big confirmation" sub-band for moves > +10% but this is shown as the actual % alongside the chip rather than as a separate label. Entry price = average whale buy price from the 48h-24h transaction window. Peak is tracked separately as a secondary 'best seen' stat. Conviction score is quality-weighted (wallet track record × base formula).

GET https://deepbluealpha.io/data/files (X-API-Key or signed-in session; active Business plan) lists one set of files per UTC day: dba_whale_moves_YYYY-MM-DD.csv.gz and .jsonl.gz (the row fields above plus event_id), dba_token_totals_YYYY-MM-DD.csv.gz (per-coin totals with exchange flow and DEX swaps kept apart) and dba_manifest_YYYY-MM-DD.json (row counts, sha256). GET /data/files/{name} downloads one. History from October 7, 2026; the last 90 days are kept.

### Business real-time webhooks
Business accounts register HTTPS endpoints from their account page. Each new move by a tracked whale wallet is POSTed as JSON {type, event_id, api_version, time_utc, tx_hash, wallet, token, action, usd_value, venue_type, flow}, filterable by minimum USD, tokens and move type. Signed with X-DBA-Signature: t=<unix>,v1=<hex HMAC-SHA256(secret, "<t>.<raw body>")>. Retries with backoff and a per-endpoint delivery log; dedupe on event_id. The daily files are the complete record.

### Alerts with webhook delivery (today, personal plans)
Pro and higher plans can deliver the alerts they configure (chosen coins, wallets and alert types) to Telegram, push, email, Discord, Slack or a generic HTTPS webhook (JSON POST). This is per-alert delivery, not a feed of every whale move. For every tracked whale move, use the Business webhooks above.

### What the data does not cover
Other chains and layer-2 networks; wallets outside the tracked set; what happens on an exchange's own books; the identity of wallet owners (labels never identify a person).
