Two endpoints rank Ethereum tokens by tracked whale volume. GET /api/v1/public/top-tokens is free, needs no key and returns the top 10 over 24 hours. GET /api/v1/top-tokens needs an API key and adds the 1H and 7D windows and up to 100 tokens. Stablecoins are excluded from both.
Endpoints
Base URL https://deepbluealpha.io · JSON over HTTPS · Ethereum mainnet only.
/api/v1/public/top-tokens: none (CORS enabled). /api/v1/top-tokens: API key in the X-API-Key header (or the ?api_key= query parameter). Create a key on your account page once you are on the Whale plan or a Business plan. Keys are shown once at creation.429.Parameters
| Name | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
tf | string | 24H | Authenticated endpoint only: 1H, 24H or 7D. |
limit | integer | 25 | Authenticated endpoint only: 1 to 100. |
Example request (curl)
# free, no key
curl -s https://deepbluealpha.io/api/v1/public/top-tokens
# with a key: 7-day window, 50 tokens
curl -s -H "X-API-Key: $DBA_API_KEY" \
"https://deepbluealpha.io/api/v1/top-tokens?tf=7D&limit=50"
Python example
import requests
r = requests.get("https://deepbluealpha.io/api/v1/public/top-tokens", timeout=10)
r.raise_for_status()
for t in r.json()["tokens"]:
print(t["symbol"], f'net ${t["net_flow_usd"]:,.0f}', t["whales"], "whale wallets")

Field names and structure are the real ones; the numbers, hashes and addresses are placeholders, not live data. Run the curl above for the live response.
Fields
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
buy_volume_usd / sell_volume_usd | Accumulation side (DEX buys + exchange withdrawals) and distribution side (DEX sells + exchange deposits). |
net_flow_usd | Accumulation side minus distribution side. |
trades | Number of whale moves (all move types). |
whales | Public endpoint: distinct tracked whale wallets that moved the token. |
volume_usd / detail_url | Public endpoint: total tracked whale volume and the token’s page. |
Notes and limits
- To split a token’s flow into exchange transfers and DEX swaps, call /api/v1/token/{symbol}/flow.
- Both endpoints count tracked whale wallets only and drop rows priced above $1B.
Errors
